Lectio for Families is a daily prayer app aimed at families with children between the ages of 7-11 years old. Following the P.R.A.Y - Pause, Rejoice, Ask, Yield - structure, the app contains a weekly memory verse, alongside Bible readings and engaging questions to discuss together. Lectio for Families can be downloaded by parents and carers onto a mobile device, and then listened to or passed along between family members as you read the content.
How to Pray: A Guide for Young Explorers is an easy to understand, fun and interactive resource to help children engage with prayer. Pete Greig, founder of 24-7 Prayer, has adapted his book How to Pray to make prayer accessible to children aged 8 to 11. With the help of television presenter and CBeebies star Gemma Hunt, Pete uses beautiful illustrations, engaging real life stories and practical activities to help demystify prayer for young people, igniting a love for it and helping them to develop their own personal prayer rhythms.
Prayer Spaces in Schools enable children, of all faiths and none, to explore life’s questions, spirituality, prayer and faith in a safe, creative and interactive way, giving them opportunity to develop skills of personal reflection. Prayer Spaces in Schools have been welcomed and praised by Head teachers, teachers and parents of different faiths and of no faith as a valuable contribution to their statutory responsibility to support the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils. Could running a prayer space be your way of serving your local primary school?
